Father underwent coronary artery bypass graft surgery on 31 December and is recovering well. He has a follow-up appointment with the cardiac team on 18 February. Until then, he must adhere to a convalescent regime of rest and moderate exercise with a minimum of stress. He will be convalescing at home in the presbytery for some of the time and away for some of the time. After 18 February, he hopes to take up various parish duties and attend to correspondence and appointments that have been delayed by his illness.

“Thank you all very much for your kind prayers and good wishes. Please join me in thanking God for the success of my operation and please continue to pray for me as I prepare to resume various duties in the parish. I am particularly grateful to Fr McNally, Fr Holdstock, our deacons Revv Neville Gascoigne and Ambrose Tuckell and to many parishioners who have helped to keep things going while I have been recovering.”
