If only we can LISTEN, LEARN AND LIVE IT!

The words of exhortation by St Paul are needed more now in our time than ever, he says, ‘I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way…This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth… For this reason, I desire that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarrelling’ (cf 1Tm 2:1-8).

Beloved people of God, if only we can listen, learn and live out these words of St Paul, the world would definitely be a better place. The world can do with more peace, love and happiness. Yet these things do not come by easily. There is need for prayers and more prayers. There is need for intercessors. We first win spiritually, then it shows in the material world. The reason for praising the dishonest manager is because of his shrewdness, as one of the sons of this world, who are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light (cf Lk 16:1-13)

May the hearts of God’s beloved people be moved to accept this grave responsibility that also spells love of God and our neighbour – to offer up supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions.
